Form Frames

Introduction

Form frames are used throughout experiences to capture customer data for use within the experience itself or passed to another system via an integration.

Frame formatting options are consistent with other frames but have an extra option to switch the form to a 'Pre-filled frame'. This option is used when you wish to merge data into the frame rather than ask the customer to provide it. Further details can be found here.

Field Components

Alongside the components available for all frames, Form frames also allow you to add 'Field Components'. These are the different data fields that you'd like to capture.

Each component is tailored to a specific data type or data collection method but the consistent setting to remember for each is the mapping.

When you choose to add a component you will be prompted to map the component either to a previously created field or to create a new one.

The available components for data capture are:

  • Email
  • Text Field
  • Dropdown
  • Radio Button
  • Date
  • Hidden Value
  • Opt In
  • Checkbox
  • Text Area
  • Unique Code
  • Number
  • Phone Number
  • Post Code
  • Site List

Further details on these components can be found here.
