Restrictions

Introduction

In this guide, you will learn how to use the Odicci Restriction feature with any of your experiences.

Note: Some restrictions are integrations specific like the UID restriction, please contact customer success to see if you can enable this.

Where to find restrictions?

  1. Go to your experience and click on the settings cog found on the top right of the screen
  2. Then click the restrictions tab and you will find yourself on this page:


Enabling & Testing Email Restrictions

  1. Begin by checking the restriction box for Email.
  2. Then configure the restriction reset.

You can permanently restrict users or restrict them on minutes, hours, days, weeks or months

  1. Save your settings and publish the experience to begin testing.
  2. Ensure you have an email field and enter an email,

  3. complete the experience and refresh your experience.
  4. Enter the same email and click enter.
  5. If you do not see the screen below, then the restriction has not been saved or enabled.

If you have enabled and checked to see the restrictions has been saved and still do not see this screen then reach out to our customer success team.

Enabling & Testing IP Restrictions

  1. Begin by checking the restriction box for IP restrictions.
  2. Then configure the restriction reset.

You can permanently restrict users or restrict them on minutes, hours, days, weeks or months

  1. Save your settings and publish the experience to begin testing.
  2. Enter the experience however you like.

  3. complete the experience and refresh your experience.
  4. If you do not see the screen below, then the restriction has not been saved or enabled.

If you have enabled and checked to see the restrictions has been saved and still do not see this screen then reach out to our customer success team.

Enabling & Testing UID Restrictions

  1. Begin by ensuring you have a Braze Integrations on your account that is mapped correctly.

  2. Then make sure you have a hidden field on your experience and that you've named the mapping external_user_id

  3. Go to the experience settings and enable UID restrictions

  1. Then configure the restriction reset.

You can permanently restrict users or restrict them on minutes, hours, days, weeks or months

  1. Create a pre-filled frame link and replace VALUE with a userID.

  1. Search this URL in your browser and you should skip straight to the experience mechanism.

  2. Complete the experience and refresh your link.
  3. If you do not see the screen below, then the restriction has not been saved or enabled.
